Hello. My name is Alan Nguyễn. You can call me 阮阿蘭 in Chinese, or 阮阿兰 if you prefer to use simplified characters.
For a long time, I have been researching the origins of the Chinese and Vietnamese languages. I am now at a point where I am ready to reveal what I’ve discovered. This website is where I will document what I’ve discovered. I eventually plan to gather this information into a book.
Many of my discoveries go against the current consensus of Western academia, so I expect you to be skeptical. But I also expect that my evidence will win you over. Unfortunately, it will take me a long time to transcribe all my work onto this website, so I ask you to be patient.
If you have a linguistic background, let me explain how this will go:
- First you’ll probably call me a crackpot whose theories are far-fetched and completely unsubstantiated, and you might even accuse me of having an ethno-nationalist agenda. (That happens a bit too often in linguistics, doesn’t it?)
- Then as you read further, you’ll realize that I do have a solid understanding of linguistics and that I’m not a crackpot, but you’ll think my evidence is cherry-picked, and that I’m ignoring all the evidence that supports the current consensus.
- Then as you read even further, you’ll realize I’m right.
